Lately I have found Facebook to be the biggest time-suck known to civilized society.

Now don’t get all “what choo talking bout willis” with me. I loved the movie… and I really enjoy the interaction with all of my friends and family. However being a computer aided web professional, I just havent been my normal productive self lately, and let’s face it… some of the things I say just aren’t that funny. I do however find myself habitually refreshing the page and scrolling through miles of crap that I really only care about 10% of what I read, and most of the links I find myself following do little to improve my quality of life (sorry to all you cute cat video sending jagoffs). I don’t want to sound like a hater, but it seems like mental clutter. Incidentally I have decided that until further notice, I am on a Facebook Fast.

Its the 2011 version of having your name not listed in the phonebook. Since deactivating my account, people close and far have called me out thinking I have de-friended (is that a word?) them or some sort of dramabomb (that should be a word) has been dropped in my life causing such a fantastic act of anti-socialism, albeit possible, its just not my motive. Regardless of my reasons know that I am still your friend.
